No personal data, or personal health information, collected by MTP will be shared with third parties, unless MTP is directed to do so by the client, or is legally obliged to do so.

MTP uses personal data and personal health information for the following purposes only:

  • To treat and care for the client.

  • To remind client of their appointments.

  • To notify client about any changes to MTP’s Booking Service that may affect them.

  • To improve MTP’s services.

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Online Data Handling and Storage

The Massage Therapy Plus booking tool and document service is provided by Squarespace Scheduling. Personal data (name, email and telephone number) is stored through Squarespace using their encrypted data storage facilities. For more information on Squarespace’s data policy visit squarespace.com.

By using the Massage Therapy Plus booking tool on this website you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

Payment

For clients who choose to pay for their treatment with a debit or credit card, their information will be passed to the payment processors Stripe for online card payments. MTP never store your credit card details, it is always processed by third-parties. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Stripe offers a service whereby clients can pay for appointments quickly using credit or debit card details previously stored with them. MTP can't see client’s stored card details or information. Stripe adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands such as: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. In general, the third-party providers MTP use will only collect, use and disclose client information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to MTP.

MTP’s privacy and cookie policy only applies to the MTP website ,www.massagetherapyplus.ie. MTP is not liable for third party websites. Third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information MTP is required to provide them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that clients read their privacy policies so they can understand the manner in which their personal information will be handled by said providers.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms & Conditions.

Your Rights

You have the right to see all MTP’s records on you at any time. Please allow up to 14 days for me to provide them. Since this is an important change, please do so in writing via registered post. Where records are held in computers, in the interest of preserving data security, I reserve the right to provide printed copies instead of electronic files. You can demand I destroy all records I hold on you. Please allow up to one month for me to comply. Requests for destruction of records should be sent in writing via registered post.

MTP take steps to ensure that everyone who performs services for MTP protects your privacy and only uses your personal health information for the purposes you consented.

Protecting Personal Information

MTP understands the importance of protecting personal information. For that reason, MTP has taken the following steps:

  • Paper information is secured in a locked area.

  • Electronic hardware is either under supervision or secured in a locked area at all times. In addition, passwords are used on computers.

  • Paper information is transmitted either through direct line or is anonymized or encrypted.

  • Electronic information is transmitted either through direct line or is anonymized or encrypted.

  • External consultants and agencies with access to personal information must enter into privacy agreements with us.

  • We destroy paper files containing personal information by shredding. We destroy electronic

    information by deleting it.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours prior to your appointment without incurring a cancellation fee. Please be aware that a no show to treatment or a late cancellation will incur a 100% charge of the treatment fee. A reminder text and email will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
